There is a lot to be thankful for this time of year and the Maury community is right there at the top of my list. A million thanks to everyone for making my first “semester” of teaching one for the books! Everyone told me I would go home crying every night during my first few years of teaching. I am happy to report that all I go home with is paint in my hair, funny and inspiring stories of my students, and thanks for such a great school environment to learn in and perfect my craft. To all the thoughtful donations throughout the year, the gifts, cookies, crayons, notes, emails, bottles of wine (!), kind words, and support–THANK YOU! I look forward to continuing a great school year with each of you in 2012!
